UPDATE: Tyaskin Beach reopens

8/4 UPDATE: Officials say all tests came back normal, and Tyaskin Beach has reopened.

TYASKIN, Md. – Tyaskin Beach in Wicomico County is currently under an advisory due to elevated bacteria levels.

Health department officials say children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with a weakened immune system are most likely to get sick from swimming in contaminated water.

We’re told the beach will be retested on Thursday, with results expected back by Friday.
