Sanitary sewer overflows reported in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Due to heavy rainfall and high tides, the Department of Public Works says there are ongoing sanitary sewer overflows on Water Street in the area of Vue De Leau Street, Cambridge.
Officials say the areas are being cleaned, and an overflow report is being filed with the Maryland Department of the Environment.
The public is advised to avoid contact with any standing water in the area of the overflows. There is no threat of contamination of the local water drinking supply.
