Del. Hartman appointed to MD Tourism Development Board

MARYLAND – Tourism is something on the mind of Maryland Delegate Wayne Hartman who was just appointed to the state Development board.

Hartman has been representing Wicomico and Worcester counties for 5 years now which he says plays a huge role in the state’s economy. He says the board will guide activities for the state to promote Maryland as a destination. Hartman will work alongside other professionals in the tourism industry.

In this role, he says he will remain committed to supporting economic development. “It’s a way that I feel I can help tourism in Maryland and bring awareness to all of Maryland. I think its important that I do some listening and then find out what can be done promoting Maryland and certainly growing tourism on the Eastern Shore,” Said

Following a statewide study, Delegate Hartman also scored a 100% on this year’s roll call, making him the top pro-business lawmaker. To read more about the study you can visit their website.
