Wanted man arrested during Cambridge traffic stop
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A traffic stop in Cambridge led to the arrest of a wanted suspect.
Officers stopped a vehicle in the Wawa parking lot for an equipment violation, and on contact with the occupants, officers detected the odor of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, leading to the recover of approximately 13 grams of cannabis. Also inside the vehicle, officers found a bag in a passenger’s possession that contained 18 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of crack cocaine, and $14,782 in cash.
The passenger, identified as 36-year-old Tyrvin Todd, was arrested, and it was discovered that he had an active arrest warrant through Dorchester County District Court, as well as an active warrant through Dorchester County Circuit Court. Todd was charged with multiple drug related charges, as well as second degree assault and attempt to elude police and is being held without bond.
