SU launches biannual summer survey for businesses economic development
.
DELMARVA – Salisbury University’s Beacon needs your help.
They are conducting their Summer Biannual Eastern Shore Sentiment survey.
The survey will gauge the opinions of local businesses on current and future economic conditions. It’s a survey they’ve been doing for a couple of years now with initial efforts to find out how business was impacted by the pandemic. The survey looks at current conditions and what they expect for business in the next few years as well as what challenges businesses face.
47 ABC spoke with the program to learn more about why it’s important to participate. “It’s good for us. It’s more to make sure we’re getting a sample across industries and geographies so we’re reaching out to all the counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This is a survey that lets our local leaders, economic development, and government know what are the opinions here locally,” Beacon Director, John Hickman said.
Access to funding has proven to be an issue in pasts surveys so officials will keep an eye out on that trend. Fill out the survey here.
