Parkside claims Bayside Championship in dramatic fashion
SALISBURY, Md.– The Parkside Rams defeated Colonel Richardson 6-5 on Wednesday night to claim the Bayside Championship.
Parkside got on the board with an RBI single and a run scored off an error in the bottom of the first. The Rams would keep the offense going in the bottom of the 3rd as they would make it a 5-0 ballgame on the Colonels.
Colonel Richardson would come to life in the 6th inning with an RBI single from Carter Walters and an RBI triple from Cameron Gondeck to make it 5-4. Parkside tacked on another run to make 6-4 in the bottom of the 6th. Colonel would try to make the comeback in the 7th, Gondeck would get an RBI single to make it 6-5. John Smith for the Rams struck out Daniel Hesson to seal the deal and give Parkside the title.
