Ocean View house fire causes $300k in damage, Fire Marshal investigates

OCEAN VIEW, Del. – A Saturday night house fire in Ocean View is under investigation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says around 5:00 p.m., the fire broke out in a two-story home on Sunrise Lane. Firefighters arrived on scene to heavy fire. Two occupants were able to escape the home with no reported injuries.

Deputy fire marshals combed the scene Saturday evening looking for the fire’s origin. Damage is estimated at $300,000, and the American Red Cross has been notified for emergency assistance.
