UPDATE: One man shot in Crisfield shooting, police working to identify suspect

CRISFIELD, Md. – Crisfield Police are now on the hunt for the suspect involved in a shooting at the Somers Cove Apartments.

Around 5:15pm on Wednesday officers responded to 529 Somers Cove Apartments in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival they found a gunshot victim who was then transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, however, the victim is currently being treated at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

We’re told the victim is not cooperating with law enforcement at this time. Officials also say the victim was recently released from prison.

Police say the incident was witnessed by numerous people, and they are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to please come forward and help officials identify the shooter suspect.

CRISFIELD, Md. – Maryland State Police have confirmed that a shooting occurred this evening in area of Somers Cove in Crisfield.

Details are limited at this time. We’re told that Crisfield Police are currently on scene, and Maryland State Police are en route.
