U.S. Congressman Andy Harris wants constituent voices heard with new survey

MARYLAND – Eastern Shore Marylanders are being asked for their take on how things like inflation or gas prices are impacting them.

U.S. Congressman Andy Harris is asking for those answers in a new district-wide survey.

Congressman Harris tells us it’s an effort to meet community members where they are and start the process of change.

He adds the recent redistricting process has also left him with new constituents.

The congressman says hearing from them will let him know what he needs to focus on the most. “For instance, if we hear back that our children’s education is high on their minds, I sit on the appropriations committee which is the subcommittee that oversees the funding for the Department of Education. I’ll bring those to the attention of the secretary when he appears before our committee,” Congressman Harris said.

Congressman Harris says with Republicans taking control of the house, he’ll have a better opportunity to represent his district and their interests.
