Sussex Tech breaks Bennett, takes Bracket 7 Title

After being down nine in the first quarter, the Sussex Tech Ravens went on an 11-0 run to take control and eventually overpower James M. Bennett 78-59 in the Bracket 7 Championship at the 2016 Governor's Challenge.

Jaquan Burton and Ricky Kane finished with 14 points a piece to lead the Ravens, while Khalil Bolden finished with 11 points and 7 assists. While a spread out offensive attack helped, it was Tech's defense that won them the game. They held Bennett to 38% shooting from the field, inclidung just 4-15 from three. Evenmore, the Ravens forced 20 turnovers, and converted them into 30 points.

For Bennett, Vincente Conking and Jamyron Cannon each finished with a team-high 12 points. Bennett's bench was outscored 47-14 on the day.
