Clippers get strong bench performance in win over Decatur

The James M. Bennett boys basketball team topped Stephen Decatur 66-54 on Thursday night in Salisbury.

Antwan Armstrong led the Clippers with 14 points in the game. Bennett got several key contributions off the bench with Jarrell Spates (12 points), Shayne Powell (10 points), and Jordan Williams (9 points). Bennett’s bench scored 38 of the team’s 66 total points.

Churchill Bounds led Decatur and the game with 15 points, while Theo Hobbs and Drew Haueisen also finished in double figures for the Seahawks with 13 and 12.
