$135,000 raised in TurkeyTrot for YMCA of the Chesapeake Locations

SALISBURY,Md- Turkey Trotters across the Eastern Shore were able to raise over $135,000 for programming across all YMCA of the Chesapeake, thanks to their record high turnout Thursday according to the YMCA Development Director Kevin LesCallette.

LesCallette tells 47ABC, across all the YMCA locations they had a total of 1,600 runners and 99 dogs participate, each helping to raise funds for programming at each center.

“It was a great success we broke the record we had wanted and we are thrilled with the turnout,” LesCallette said.

The money will go to funding youth services, programming for seniors, and even training exercise and support for cancer survivors.
