Needy families receive turkeys through Steve Harvey’s Great Turkey Give

SALISBURY, Md. – Local organizations all across Delmarva are joining the effort to make sure everyone gets a delicious meal on Thanksgiving.

On Tuesday, Froggy 99.9 and Magic 98.9 delivered 100 turkeys to local organizations doing just that, distributing meals to local families in need.

It’s all a part of Steve Harvey’s Great Turkey Give and this year they partnered up with non-profits like the Good Ole Boys in Sussex County to reach those needy families.

“It really takes a community and showing the power that when partners come together to work as a community is really something inspiring,” says Audrey Carey of Good Ole Boys.

Tenacious Godwin from Magic 98.9 adds, “Coming from a family that used to be in need, it’s great to give back to the community being in a position where I can give back from where I was so its a wonderful feeling that I cant even describe

Higher Calling Ministries in Somerset County as well as Snow Hill Ecumenical and Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene’s Hope For the Hungry Food Pantry in Salisbury also received a handful of turkeys to give to those who are hungry in their communities.
