Developing: “Sonic Boom” felt across Delmarva

Reports of homes shaking and a loud noise began shortly after 3 PM

SALISBURY, Md. – Residents across Delmarva are reporting to 47 ABC as well as local law enforcement agencies that a suspected “sonic boom” has shaken their homes and twice made a very loud noise.

According to the Fruitland Police Department several officers are currently investigating the incident, however an exact location or origin is still unknown. 47 ABC reached out to the Naval Air Station Patuxent River branch who were aware of the incident but said none of their air crafts currently in the Salisbury air space were capable of creating a sonic boom.

The Dover Air Force Base also spoke with 47 ABC and they tell us that none of their air crafts would have caused a sonic boom and that there has been no suspicious activity located on their radar today.

This is a developing story and 47 ABC will update the information as soon as the facts are received.
