Salisbury University to redevelop 8.6 acre property

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University is expanding on a 6 million dollar property that is likely to provide opportunities for both students and the community.

Located over at Temple Hill Court Plaza on Route 13, the 8.6 acre property will provide more housing to students as well as more businesses.

47 ABC is told the development is still in its early stages of approval, but the SU Foundation already has big plans for the property.

They say their ultimate goal is to draw visitors and families to the area and really put the university on the map.

Jason Curtin, Executive Director of the Salisbury University Foundation said, “We’re envisioning a different concept for the university and the area. We want it to be a destination spot.”

47 ABC is told the university will not break ground until everything is finalized at the end of this fall, with demolition starting next spring.

Completion of the project is projected for 2022.
