7th annual “Walk for Recovery” returning to Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Atlantic Club will host its 7th annual “Walk/Run for Recovery” on Saturday, November 3rd.

Taking place from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, this year’s event will be held at the Atlantic Club on Route 50, due to the State Disaster Drill taking place on the boardwalk. It has been expanded to a family-friendly event and will offer face painting, healthy snacks, music, silent auction, and a raffle to win a one week stay in Coca Beach Florida.

The Atlantic Club is a nonprofit organization that offers socialization, 12 step recovery meetings, activities with sober friends, therapeutic art, drumming, pool tournaments, movie night, and much more. They are open 24/7 and are always staffed with a manager who can offer peer support. They are also equipped with an exercise room, kitchen, computer access for job searches, a pantry for food and household supplies, and multiple 12 step meetings a week.

You can support the cause by making a donation as a sponsor, ranging from $100 to $1000. You will have the chance to show off your business logo on the giveaways and on a logo banner, to be displayed at the walk. Walking, running, or cheering in the event will also show your support for recovery and access to the Atlantic Club’s free 24-hour recovery services.

All donations should be sent to the The Atlantic Club: Attn: Colleen Wareing, P.O. Box 563 Ocean City, MD 21843. Checks should be made payable to the Atlantic Club. Donations may also be made on the website here.
