Salisbury’s Jay Copeland connects with Delmarva’s own Jimmie Allen

DELMARVA – Last night local star Jay Copeland continued his journey on American Idol.

He took to the mic and sang a Jackson 5 favorite. Right now he’s in the top 24 and set to go further. On last night’s episode, he worked with another star on Delmarva, Jimmie Allen. An opportunity he says hit close to home.

“Working with Jimmie Allen was – he’s such a phenomenal guy, he’s so genuine he knew Salisbury, he knew Ocean City, so we definitely connected based off of where we’re from, he’s such a great guy,” Jay tells 47ABC.
