First female superintendent of CRSD talks about goals and plans for the district

CAMDEN, Del. – Christine Alois made history by becoming Caesar Rodney School District’s first female superintendent, and 47 ABC got a chance to speak with her to talk about her goals and plans for the District.

Alois was an educator in the district for years before serving as deputy secretary for the Delaware Department of Education. School officials say Alois’ roots in the community and her experience made her the perfect candidate.

Alois tells us this is a fresh start as they wind down the school year, and prepare for the rest of 2022. She says partnerships within and outside of the school district are one of the keys to becoming stronger, getting students back on track, and preparing for a new future. “It was just really great being back in with all of Caesar Rodney’s family and just getting to reconnect and get things started,” says Alois. She adds, “We are really looking at this as a reset, not a rebound. This is time to really set strong goals and take care of ourselves, social-emotional well-being, as well as our academics together and with this community there’s nowhere to go but forward.”

June 9th is the last day of school for CRSD.
