Early morning house fire in Salisbury deemed accidental
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury home was damaged after a fire broke out early Monday morning.
The fire was reported at around 6:20 a.m., at 4089 Doe Run Drive. Firefighters with the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and placed the fire under control in just over 30 minutes.
Maryland fire marshals were called in to investigate the fire, which began in the crawl space of the home and was discovered by the occupants. The fire was ruled accidental in nature and was the result of an electrical event.
No injuries were reported. Total damage has been estimated at $80,000.
