New plans for Salisbury’s downtown city center

SALISBURY, Md. – Some big changes are coming to downtown Salisbury, we’re told Davis Simpson Real Estate is working on several projects to revitalize the downtown area including their newest purchase, the city center.

Right now the  city center houses Roadie Joes, some shops and many empty storefronts, but it won’t stay like this for long. Davis Simpson has new plans for this historic multi-level building. They’re hoping to create a building that people can walk into and be proud of.

“Our goal is to have something that’s just another reason to walk downtown. Right now the downtown is something people walk through but everyone acts almost disappointed so we want to have something where you walk in and people are really drawn to it,” explains Bret Davis, of Davis Simpson.

Expected new businesses for the city center include an ice cream shop, a bridal shop, a supplement store and more. Roadie Joe’s will also be renovating and expanding.
