is the lead agency on this investigation — and they tell us they’re still actively searching for her. but the active manhunt — which lasted for a couple of hours this afternoon — has been called off. 47 abc’s dani bozzini has been following this story since it broke earlier today — and is live in studio with the latest. dani? thank you, emily… at last check — a worcester county sheriff’s office spokesperson told 47 abc they have downgraded the intensity of the search, but they have not given up. the details in this stabbing case and subsequent manhunt — are few — and have been pretty hard to come by. but what we know is this… this all started earlier this week — when the suspect 50-year-old kimberly joy hinkley — allegedly got in an argument with an ocean city man — and stabbed him. we’re told this happened near jerry mack road and route 50 — in berlin. investigators secured a warrant for her arrest and today — around noon — an officer spotted hinkley walking along that same area. she apparently saw him — and took off running. and that’s when the manhunt began. worcester county dispatched their k-9 units — and maryland state police sent out their helicopter. there was a perimeter set up. but after a couple hours — and finding no sign of hinkley — the search was called off. investigators are asking anyone — who might know anything about this incident — or hinkley’s whereabouts — to call the worcester county sheriff’s office. the number… 410-632-1111 thank you, dani. 47 abc’s dani bozzini reporting live from the studio tonight. according to the sheriff’s office — hinkley faces charges of attempted 2nd degree homicide — 1st degree assault — and reckless endangerment. maryland case search shows — she has a number of prior assault charges dating back to 2000. now let’s get to some other wanted individuals in
