Riverside Carnival gives locals one last chance for some summer fun

SALISBURY, Md. – The weather was beautiful Friday night for the annual Riverside Carnival in Salisbury.

The carnival has become an end-of-the-summer tradition in the community, offering food, rides, magicians, even a dunk booth.

The three-day event has grown immensely over the years and the money raised goes toward different charity organizations in the area, including Halo and the Joseph House.

“We really started the carnival not so much as a money maker but as a bringing the community together,” said event co-chair Helene Conick.

“It’s not just for St. Francis, it’s for everybody that lives in the surrounding area, anybody that wants to come together, enjoy the rides, enjoy the food, and just all the fun,” said co-chair Kris Reilly.

If you missed out on going Friday, you still have a chance Saturday.  The fair will be open fro 5 PM to 10 PM.

The entertainment of the night will be Amp, a local organization that brings in kids that play instruments and sing.
