Police: Del. man arrested for making threatening phone calls

MILFORD Del. – A Sussex County man is facing multiple charges after he reportedly made multiple threatening phone calls.

Milford Police say they arrested Bernard Wilson near Elgin Drive, on Monday, after a two day long terroristic threatening investigation. Victims say the 48-year-old called them and threatened them over the phone, claiming he had a gun.

Officers obtained a search warrant and went to Wilson’s home where they reportedly found a handgun, which he was prohibited from having due to being a convicted felon.

Wilson is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of firearm by person prohibited and possession of ammunition by person prohibited.

The 48-year-old was arraigned and released on a $70,000 unsecured bail. Wilson was ordered to have no contact with the victims in the case and ordered to appear at a later date in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing.
