Two new hotels to join the Town of Millsboro community

MILLSBORO, Del. – Town of Millsboro officials are planning to bring two new hotels to the area.

The plan includes Avid Hotels, which is expected to start construction behind the Delmarva Health Pavilion on U.S. 113 by the start of next year.

However, according to the town manager, Sheldon Hudson, there still needs to be a final approval.

Hudson also said that with the addition of the new hotels, it will be an opportunity to bring more revenue to transform the area and push forward with new projects.

“What I’m hearing is that not everyone wants to have a weekly rental in Bethany, Fenwick or Bethany or Ocean City,” said Hudson.

“So, Millsboro is hoping that it can cater to that type of vacationer, to that type of traveler that just wants to come down for the weekend,” he said.
