Gov. Hogan issues indoor mask mandate for state buildings, paid leave for boosters
MARYLAND – Governor Larry Hogan on Monday announced new covid-19 precautions, including an indoor mask mandate for all state buildings.
The announcements come in response to a surge of covid-19 hospitalizations both in the state and across the country.
Effective on Monday, face coverings are required for all visitors and employees inside of state buildings. In addition, the governor also announced that the state will be providing two hours of paid leave for employees who receive a booster shot. The governor also says he encourages all employers to offer paid leave for both vaccinations and boosters.
In addition to the boosters and mask mandate, the governor says the state will also adopt the new CDC guidance when it comes to quarantine recommendations for state employees.
