More road closures expected for the Salisbury Bypass

Thanks to the rain earlier this week, the road closures on the Salisbury Bypass are now being extended to next week.
according to SHA, they will continue the closure of the southbound lanes through Thursday of next week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
With the bad weather and the decision to add more paving, there was no way around it according to SHA, but they will have signs for detours.
"The detour in place will be to continue down southbound on the bypass and it's to wraparound to Route 12 and there's also alternative routes that can be taken through Salisbury using 13 Business or 50 Business," explains Brett Deane, SHA Project Engineer.
Since they decided to do additional paving, it means that once the project is complete all lanes will be open for good.
SHA is hoping all road work on the southbound lanes will be finished by next week.
