Howard T. Ennis School bringing holiday cheer to students

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Howard T. Ennis School is bringing the Christmas Spirit right to their classrooms.

Because schools like this one were under COVID-19 restrictions last year they wanted to brighten up the holidays for students. Everyone lent a helping hand in creating different Christmas themes throughout the school, such as The Polar Express, the North Pole, and Santa’s Workshop.

The Principle of the school said while it took some time to create this magical wonderland, she said it’s all worth it.

“The pandemic in itself has presented a ton of challenges, and some days are a lot harder for our kids families and staff than others just depending on whats going on, so being able to walk into the building and hear Christmas music, see the lights, see the students decorations, seeing their reactions to what’s new hanging up has been absolutely amazing,” Melissa Kansak, Principal, Howard T. Ennis, said.

In addition, we’re told administrators from the central office visited the school to judge the decorations and hand out prizes.
