CHRISTMAS SPIRIT CAMPAIGN

The Young Professional Committee of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce is getting into the holiday spirit with their annual campaign. Jason D'Amore is here with the details.

with their annual campaign. i’m joined by program coordinator jason d’amore with all the details. the young professional committee of the ocean city chamber of commerce is coordinating with ocean city area businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations. the 2016 united christmas spirit campaign will invite 60+ underprivileged children for a christmas gift shopping event on december 3, 2016. the shopping event will allow the children to purchase gifts for themselves or siblings for christmas, enjoy games and craft activities, and time with santa. seeking volunteers for this annual christmas spirit event! contact sara sabia; 289-0883 for more information on how to participate! schedule of events 6:00 meet at wal-mart volunteers at wal-mart will be given instructions and a picture will be taken 6:30 – 7:00 am child shopper and chaperone introduction, shopping begins! 7:30 am santa arrives and will be visiting children in the activity room. 8:30 am shopping ends, gifts are wrapped, loaded into trucks & headed for outback 8:45 am bus leaves for outback 9:00 am breakfast at outback for children and volunteers 9:15 am phillip speaks to the kids about the christmas spirit 9:30 am parents check children out gifts & goody bags are distributed volunteers – remember to: 1. wear a red shirt or sweater 2. bring a calculator or phone with one 3. be sure gifts are age appropriate and complete with batteries 4. be sure to list/tag gifts that are going to someone other than the child 5. check your child shopper into activity room after shopping 6. use first and last names on everything have questions about united christmas spirit campaign?contact young professionals of ocean city, md make a donation & become a sponsor of the 2016 christmas spirit campaign it’s time to volunteer and/or donate to the 47 abc news – delmarva’s trusted source tuesday has overcast skies
