Beaver Run Elementary hosting workshops for community input on new school designs

SALISBURY, Md. – Do you want to have a say in what the new Beaver Run Elementary School will look like? Well, now you have a chance!

Wicomico County Public School officials are giving the community an opportunity to see renderings and designs at two different events Thursday.

The new building will be behind the current school and it was necessary because of all the repairs that were needed. But what’s also necessary is getting your opinion to ensure the community feels good about the facility moving forward.

Paul Butler, Director of Communications says, “We also want to know how our students and families want the classrooms to look, the exterior to look, the gymnasium and some other parts of the schools, so we want their input on how it would best fit with the school.”

The first meeting will be at Beaver Run from 2-3 and then the next one will be at the Wicomico Early Learning Center from 3-4.

If everything runs smoothly, the new school should be up and running by 2022.
