Florida Man Arrested for Hiding Camera in Bathroom of Laurel Business

LAUREL, Del. – The Laurel Police Department arrested a Florida man after they say he hid a small camera in an employee restroom at a local business.

Officers arrested 41-year-old Anil Weiler on two felony counts of violation of privacy. He has since been and released on a $3,000 unsecured bond. A no-contact order was also issued.

At 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, officers with the Laurel Police Department responded to a business located in the 200 block of East Front Street after an employee reported discovering a concealed camera inside an employee restroom. Upon arrival, officers located and secured a small camera that had allegedly been concealed from plain view on a shelf near the toilet. Officers immediately began an investigation and interviewed employees of the business.

During the course of the investigation, police determined Weiler was the alleged owner of the camera.
