Highlights from today's games.

time to talk some sports and spenser, season is done for a lot of our fall sports teams.. and that means the post season awards are starting to come in yeah that’s right the post season awards are really starting to come rolling in and that’s what you would expect after we had so many of our teams have really great performances the 2016 season was one to forget for the dsu football team the hornets went 0-11… winless for the first time since 2005. now while the win and loss column was clearly not where the team would’ve liked.. there were a few bright spots a couple hornets were honored today for their individual performances as they were named to the all-conference team mike waters and mason rutherford were both placed on the all-meac 3rd-team waters was a freshman running back that finished the year with 820 yards on the ground and 5 scores rutherford on the other hand was a junior wideout.. finsihing the season with 564 yards receiving and the college hoops season is starting to heat up maryland is 6-0 on the year, but still just on the outside of the top 25, receiving the most votes of anyone not ranked terps will have a chance at winning over a few more votes tonight though as they are at home squaring off against pitt the panthers come in with a 5-1 record, with the lone loss coming at the hands of s-m-u tip off for this one is scheduled for 7pm and just down the road from here in princess anne.. maryland eastern shore’s women’s basketball team returns home for their showdown with unc greensboro the hawks enter this one with a 2-2 overall record, but are coming off a 19 point loss to north carolina state meanwhile the spartans are 4-2 on the young season.. and have won 2 straight tip off for this one is in just a few minutes at 6 o’clock and some great news here for nfl fans around the league its no secret the quality of play during thursday night games has been.. well.. bad and the league has noticed as well the nfl is now reportedly re-thinking the whole thing now they werent specific if that meant just cutting back to a few times a year.. or getting rid of thursday night games all together that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com here’s a look
