Delaware State Fire Marshal investigating house fire in Bethany Beach

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire Saturday night that heavily damaged a home in Bethany Beach.

Police say the fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. in the 39000 block of Seaside Drive in Bethany Village. When firefighters arrived on site the home was engulfed in flames.  We’re told the residents in the home at the time of the fire were able to exit safely.

State fire investigators were on the scene Sunday, investigating the fire’s origin and cause. The cost of the damage has not been assessed at this time.

This fire remains under investigation.
