Delaware’s latest revenue projection for next year more than expected

Delaware's latest revenue projection for next year is $82 million more than they expected.
But Governor John Carney says just because they have more wiggle room, doesn't mean they're going to spend beyond their means.
Carney tells 47 ABC there are more revenue sources to help support this increase.
He says one of the best solutions was building a stronger and growing economy.
But despite the new estimates, Carney says he hopes to continue to have a sustainable spending plan. "So my message to legislators to be careful be prudent about spending and put money aside and yesterday, they agreed to put $50 million aside not to spend it and focus on one time investments and address building and complex needs."
Governor Carney says by doing this it will be good for Delaware in the long term.
In a statement, Representative Melanie Smith, who's on the Joint Finance Committee says, with the estimate trending upward, they are able to address their priority for funding.
