More details emerge as MSP search for three suspects who imp

who reportedly posed police officers yesterday — as they stopped a pregnant woman traveling through worcester county. 47 abc’s justina coronel has the details. track 1 a 38-year-old pregnant woman was driving from brooklyn– to norfolk in a rented vehicle. before 6 oclock she was stopped by police in snow hill– or so she thought. a black chevrolet suv pulled up behind her, had activated red and blue lights that appeared to be police lights emergency lights. track 2 from there she pulled over– she was approached by an african american male that was dressed in a coat and tie, he pepper sprayed her and her vehicle. and she got out of her vehicle and he assaulted her track 3 troopers say that’s when the suspect punched her in the stomach. but he wasn’t alone – a second suspect reportedly had a small black handgun and grabbed her purse, which had her cash and jewelry inside. a third suspect remained at the back of the suspect’s car. the three suspects then left in their suv. now the woman was stopped and assaulted in the area of whiton road in snow hill then she drove 4 minutes up the road and was found by police on the corner of powellville road and webb road. track 4 after the assault, the victim says she wanted to get to a safer area. luckily she still had her cell phone and called police – who told her to stop so that they could find her. the victim was treated at the hospital and later released. we are searching for these individuals and a black chevrolet suv with maryland tags and the search is continuing track 5 justina coronel 47 abc. officials say if anyone has any information regarding this incident –to please call maryland state police at their salisbury barrack at 410-749-3101 and with a scary situation like this– maryland state police say there are ways to avoid becoming a victim of those– pretending to be an officer. if you feel something does not feel right — officials say the first thing you should do – is call 9-1-1 — and tell police your location and description of your vehicle. while waiting –tell the person that you are waiting for police to come. if you are in a situation where an impersonator comes to your window– keep your door shut and do not get out of the car. m-s-p say you should also ask the person for their badge and police id. if the person does not have these two things — wait for an authority to arrive at the scene. if at all possible, respond to a well lit area, more populated area, even then stay on the phone with 9-1-1. i say put your four way flashers on, obey the speed limit to the location where you feel safest. stay on the phone with 9-1-1 and wait for that uniformed officer to show up. msp also say – you should be observant of your area– in order for them to assist you as soon as possible. tonight will
