UPDATE :Authorities capture wanted fugutive

Tyrell Redwine, 33, of Dover

  Police have captured an inmate who fled from a detention center in Dover on Wednesday. 

  On Friday, June 15, 2018, Tyrell Redwine was captured when he turned himself in to the staff at Morris Community Correctional Center in Dover. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 before being committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on an escape after conviction warrant in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

June 13, 2018 – 12:05 PM –The Delaware Department of Corrections is looking for an inmate after they say he did not return to a correctional facility this week.

DOC officials say 32-year-old Tyrell Redwine, an inmate at Morris Community Correctional Center (MCCC) in Dover, did not return from an approved work pass, on Wednesday. A warrant for escape after conviction was issued since Redwine's whereabouts are unknown and unauthorized at this time. 

According to the report, Redwine is described as standing 5'06" tall, weighing 165 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in Magnolia, DE. The 32-year-old is currently serving time for violation of probation: identity theft.

MCCC is a level four Community Corrections Center. Community Corrections Centers are level 4 facilities that helps those who are transitioning back into the community. Level four facilities are not secured like level five facilities. At level four facilities, offenders are allowed to leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
