BERLIN, Md. – A museum in Berlin is sharing haunting history. The Ghost Museum, located right in the historic downtown, showcases a variety of artifacts, legends, and stories surrounding reported paranormal activity.

Museum officials, like Jessica Ader, say that they aim to educate and entertain, without jump scares or frightening fronts.

“Well we’re a little bit like a history museum more than a haunted house.” Said Ader. “So we’ve got a lot of information about the town of Berlin and the ghosts that seem to haunt the area, ghosts in pop culture, ghosts in different cultures and ghosts throughout history trying to provide, like, an overview of supernatural history.”

The building the museum is located in, was once a horse carriage house. Reports displayed within the museum state that some visitors still hear the sound of horse hooves.

“Well, I think that the museum acts as a really interesting community space in terms of sharing different ghost stories and different experiences people have had with the supernatural in general.” Said Ader. “We have a wall on the backside of the museum space where people can write down their own ghost stories, which is always really interesting to see.”

For the rest of October, The Ghost Museum is open everyday from 1-7 pm, in the following months they will only be open on weekends.
