Salisbury Man Arrested for Possessing Stolen Firearm

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Police Department (SPD) has arrested a man on gun charges after conducting a search warrant at his residence.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Desmon Corbin of Salisbury on charges of possession of a stolen regulated firearm, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, carrying a loaded handgun on person, and illegal possession of ammunition. Corbin is prohibited from possessing a firearm and is being held without bond.

On Sept. 18, members of the SPD Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a residence as part of an ongoing investigation stemming from a Sept. 6, incident in the area of Mitchell Road. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located Corbin inside the residence. Prior to surrendering to officers, Corbin allegedly threw a loaded 9mm handgun from the rear of the residence. He was taken into custody without further incident.
