Charlie Paparella Listens to Live Music from Blind Wind

MILLSBORO, Del. – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie attends a live performance of a father-son musical duo by the name of Blind Wind.

Frankie Moran and his son, Cole, play music across the country, having shared the stage with Blues Traveler, Trace Adkins, Collective Soul, Joan Jett and many others. Originally from Ocean City, they now live in Bishopville in Worcester County. 

Frankie tells Charlie that Cole first started playing music when he was only four years old. Once his family realized Cole had perfect pitch and rhythm, they began introducing him to all sorts of musical instruments to see what he liked to play. But it wasn’t before long when Cole started gravitating to the harmonica for its small size and achievable notes.

“He really loves it, he really enjoys it, it’s something that gets him out of the house,” Frankie says. “He works with me in the summer three to four days a week, in the off season on weekends…” 

While Cole struggles with a developmental disability, it doesn’t take away from how much fun he has performing on stage. Frankie says he just can’t imagining him and his son doing anything else.
