Chamber Chat: Delmarva Job & Career Expo

SALISBURY, Md. – In this week’s Chamber Chat, WMDT’s John Trout and Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce President Bill Chambers discussed the upcoming Delmarva Job & Career Expo, returning to the Wicomico Civic Center on Oct. 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Bill tells WMDT that for those looking to upgrade their job position, looking for seasonal work, part-time work or long-term career positions; this event has the one stop shopping for you. And if you’re a company, this is the place to get hiring positions filled.

Last year, more than 2,000 attendees came out to look for work. This year, a similar attendance is expected, with more than 50 companies setting up booths to network and meet future employees. 

“Every business sector will be represented; manufacturing, hospitality, retail, construction, sales, financial services, agriculture, local and state governments, just to name a few,” Bill said. “So whatever your background is, bring it with you. We have resume assistance on site as well.”
