Salisbury City Park Pedestrian Bridge to Close for Renovations

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury City Park’s pedestrian bridge will be closed temporarily while crews work to implement renovations.

The City of Salisbury says the bridge will close beginning Thursday, Aug. 6, and remain closed through Sept. 17, weather permitting. No pedestrian traffic will be permitted during this the duration of the project. Residents and visitors are asked to use alternate routes while work is underway and to obey all posted signs and barriers around the construction area. 

“I am thrilled to see the Pedestrian Bridge Project get underway,” said Mayor Randy Taylor in a statement. “The City Park is a place where families, friends and visitors come together, and maintaining these spaces is a priority for our administration. I look forward to seeing the finished project and thank our community for their patience during construction.” 

The City says the planned renovations will help enhance the safety, longevity, and overall condition of the pedestrian bridge for everyone who enjoys City Park.
