Electrical malfunction sparks home fire in Showell
SHOWELL, Md. – Fire crews worked for several hours Saturday to extinguish a burning structure in Showell.
The fire broke in a home on the 8,200 block of Circle Road around noon. Investigators say the home was unoccupied at the time. The point of origin was found in a bedroom, and investigators believe the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction.
No injuries were reported. The single occupant of the home is being helped by the American Red Cross.
