Suspected heroin, meth found in vehicle in Dover

Buchman

DOVER, Del. – A welfare check in Dover on Wednesday afternoon led to the discovery of suspected drugs, police said.

Delaware State Police were conducting a follow-up on a separate investigation at a home on the 4,000 block of Forrest Avenue. While there, police said they spotted a man slumped over and snoring the driver’s seat of a pickup turck, with the door open.

While attempting to wake the man, police said they saw a blue wax bag, consistent with heroin packaging, in plain view on the center console. The man was woken up and identified as 39-year-old Bradley Buchman, and arrested.

Inside the vehicle, police said they found 33 bags containing suspected heroin in the vehicle. Two of them contained suspected methamphetamine. Buchman is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $5,000 cash bond.
