Salisbury man arrested for DUI, possession of crack cocaine in Delmar

DELMAR, Del. – A Salisbury man is facing charges after police said he was caught driving under the influence.

Delaware State Police initiated the traffic stop on Delmar Road after they said the vehicle filed to stay in its lane. The driver was identified as 61-year-old Oscar Johnson. Police subjected Johnson to field sobriety tests, and while doing so, said Johnson had attempted to kick a baggie containing a white rock-like substance under his vehicle. The baggie was recovered, and police said it contained crack cocaine. Police said they also found a pill bottle containing a white powdery substance.

In total, Johnson is accused of being posession of 105 grams of crack cocaine. Investigators would learn he had been convicted for two prior DUI-related incidents. Johnson is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $30,106 secured bond.
