Dover man arrested following police pursuit in Claymont
DOVER, Del. – A Dover man is facing charges after police say they found drugs inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Delaware State Police pulled over the vehicle near Harvey Road in Claymont after they said they obvserved the driver commit several traffic violations. The driver was identified as 34-year-old Datahj Smith.
Police said after they pulled Smith’s vehicle over, it sped off. Troopers were able to stop the vehicle and apprehaned Smith. Police said they found 53.5 grams of suspected PCP and about 0.27 grams of suspected heroin in the vehicle.
Smith is being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $28,114 cash bond.
