Two arrested in Bridgeville after loaded handguns found in vehicle
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Two people were arrested in Bridgeville on Tuesday night for felony gun charges.
Around 9:31 p.m., Delaware State Police say a trooper on patrol saw a vehicle roll through a stop sign at the intersection of Coverdale and Hastings Farm Roads. When the trooper pulled the vehicle over, police say two concealed loaded handguns were found inside.
The driver, identified as 28-year-old Faythe Wise of Seaford, and the passenger, identified as 31-year-old Derrick Edwards of Millsboro, were arrested without incident. Police say Edwards is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm and/or ammunition. He was later released on $16,500 unsecured bond. Wise was released on her recognizance.
