Motorcyclist loses control in Greenwood, dies in crash
GREENWOOD, Del. – A 39-year-old man from Dover is dead after police say he was involved in a motorcycle crash.
On August 29th, around 7:10 a.m., Delaware State Police say a Kawasaki ZX6 bike was speeding westbound on Beach Highway, west of Webb Farm Road. The motorcycle attempted to pass two vehicles by entering the oncoming lane, but lost control and skidded into a utility pole.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. The roadway was closed for about five hours.
