Millsboro man charged in Bethany Beach hit-and-run

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – A Millsboro man is facing charges after police say he was involved in a hit-and-run in Bethany Beach.

Around 4:45 p.m. on August 24th, Bethany Beach Police responded to the 600 block of Garfield Parkway. Officers met with the 22-year-old victim, who said the driver had hit him and sped off.

The driver was identified as 41-year-old Chad James. Police later found him in his vehicle in Ocean View, and he was arrested. Police say James was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

James was released on $500 unsecured bond to a cosigner.
