Two dead in Selbyville crash

SELBYVILLE, Del. – A fatal crash in Selbyville is under investigation.

Around 7:54 a.m. on July 8th, Delaware State Police responded to Fenwick Road, just before New Road. Police say a Chevrolet Camaro and a Hyundai Santa Fe collided head-on. The driver of the Camaro, a 22-year-old Berlin, Maryland woman, as well as a 77-year-old man from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania—who was a passenger in the Santa Fe—both died in the crash. Their identities are being withheld until their families are notified.

The driver of the Santa Fe, a 74-year-old Selbyville man, was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Fenwick Road was closed for an extended time while investigators worked and cleared the scene. Anyone with further information about the crash is asked to contact Master Corporal K. Argo at 302-703-3264.
