Third suspect arrested in connection with June Slaughter Beach shooting

LINCOLN, Del. – A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a June shooting near the Slaughter Beach Memorial Volunteer Fire Company. On July 17th, Delaware State Police say 21-year-old Deonte King of Lincoln turned himself in.

Troopers responded to the public access area next to the 300 block of Bay Avenue in Milford on June 12th, around 7:14 p.m.,. for shots fired. Investigators say a 32-year-old Dover man was shot while attending a party at the pavilion behind the fire company. Several masked suspects approached the group and opened fire, say police. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Later, investigators would identify and arrest Tyree Johnson and Tymere Harmon in connection with the shooting. Detectives issued a warrant for King’s arrest after they linked him to the crime. He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $234,500 cash bond.
