Pole barn fire in Delmar under investigation

DELMAR, Md. – A fire that broke out at King Farms and Mulch Wednesday afternoon is under investigation.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, a Delmar Volunteer Fire Department crew responded to the 29000 block of Foskey Lane at 3:28 p.m. on July 16th. When firefighters arrived, they found part of the exterior of a 60-by-80-foot pole barn in flames.

It took 15 firefighters about 30 minutes to douse the fire. Nobody was hurt, but investigators estimate that about $1,500 in damage was caused. Investigators say a passerby had called in the fire, and it remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
